FAQs
Annual Dues: $250/year, prorated.
New year always starts January 1st. This ensures all members are on the same billing cycle and helps us all to recommit to the group together annually.
Typical Return on Investment
This chapter typically generates roughly $10,000 - $25,000/member annually in new or repeating referral business. With membership costing $250/year, this gives an ANNUAL ROI of 4,000% to 10,000%!
What are the requirements to join?
Potential members are allowed to visit up to 4 times. At no cost to them. If you’re a good fit and you see the power of having a sales force to grow your business, you can submit an application to our membership team. Once you’re approved you are ready to be part of the team! The cost is $250.00 per year. That is a fraction of the cost of other groups! Dues are prorated for the first year depending on when you join. Dues go towards things like events and marketing to help the group grow as well as group social networking events. Members of lakes Area Referrals may not be in other direct referral groups. Things like the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and other civic organizations are okay.
We evaluate member attendance holistically: members that are making significant contributions (e.g., referrals that have led to closed business, bringing lots of guests, etc.) will be heavily considered as well.
Members that are consistently absent may be removed from the referral group.
Membership Expectations.
Each member is expected to live first and foremost by the Golden Rule. Treat others how you wish to be treated!
Each member is expected to bring in quality referrals to the group. By doing so you will also receive referrals back! It’s not rocket science, it’s a team of people being each other’s sales force. If you’ve been in business, you know how great it feels to get a referral. Imagine getting them weekly! By doing so, you’re expected to return the favor.
Members are expected to track their referrals given and received via a website application.
Members are expected to be in good standing in their profession. If there is licensing involved they are expected to be current on any requirements by the state or licensing firm associated with your profession. Members are expected to be ethical in dealing with other members and their referrals.
Attendance is key!
Members are expected to be at every weekly meeting. We know that life does happen so we allow up to 6 absences per year. If there are other planned circumstances like vacation you can send a substitute for that meeting. A co-worker, fellow owner or another business owner that you know that would like to come and check out the group. There’s a good chance they will get a referral! Attendance is key because the old saying “out of sight, out of mind” is true. If you’re not there, you’re not getting or giving referrals.
Keep this in mind before you decide to join as our team is committed to being there for each other. This policy is strictly enforced and violation of exceeding the allowed absences can result in losing your membership.
Member Removal Policy
Members may be removed by a majority vote of existing members of the membership committee.
